The court heard that police went to an address in Lurgan and as they were searching the area noticed someone trying to hide between trees. He was jumping from tree to tree to avoid being seen.

Two packets of white powder were found in the defendant’s trouser pocket and he also had six pills which turned out to be diazepam. A solicitor for Martin said all the items were for his own personal use.

He explained that at the time the defendant was using recreational drugs but has since stopped.

The solicitor added that Martin was originally from the Lurgan area but was residing in Belfast.
