Drugs seized: Man in court

A 35-year-old man has been charged with a number of offences including criminal damage, handling stolen goods and another 10 offences including cultivating cannabis and possessing a class B controlled drug with intent to supply.

He is due to appear at Londonderry Magistrates Court on the morning of Friday 18 December.

As is normal procedure, all charges are reviewed by the PPS.

It is understood the charge is pursuant to a search at a house by the District Support Team, which took place in the Lansdowne Road area yesterday, Thursday, December 17. At that location a cannabis factory was found and itis believed controlled drugs with an estimated street value of £27,000 were seized.
