Drumachose MU

Members of Drumachose MU met in Christ Church Hall on Wednesday, November 5.

The meeting opened with prayer led by Eileen Shannon and readings led by Joan McVeigh. A minute’s silence was observed in memory of esteemed member Mrs Annie Crow-Mains and Ina Murdoch’s husband, Cecil.

The speaker for the evening was Constable Ian McGregor one of the six Neighbourhood Police Officers in the town. He gave a very detailed and interesting talk about the work of the PSNI in general and specifically in Limavady. Ian went on to talk about his job and how important it was to be there for the community. Everyone was brought up to date with the importance of home security and how to deal with bogus callers. He said that it was a good idea to mark property and list it and even take photographs. After taking questions, the vote of thanks was proposed by Jean Stevenson.
