Drumaheagles thanks Arts Council

DRUMAHEAGLES Young Defenders Flute Band would like to thank the Arts Council of Northern Ireland for their financial assistance in the recent acquisition of new flutes and drums.

The band received 5000 of funding from the Arts Council towards replacement of flutes and drums which came to nearly 9000 in total. The band are now in possession of 24 new Crown Bb Flutes supplied by Miller-Wicks NI from Kilkeel, County Down and 8 new Andante Reactor side drums and accessories supplied by Mr Gary Smyth of Garvagh, County Londonderry.

The band are very pleased with the new instruments and are also proud to say that all instruments were made in Northern Ireland therefore helping to support the local manufacturing industry in the province.

Drumaheagles Young Defenders would like to thank the Arts Council of Northern Ireland for their financial assistance, help and support throughout the process, thanks are also extended to the suppliers of the new instruments which have greatly benefitted the band and will ensure high standards for the band for many years to come.
