Drumaheglis play area go ahead
Ballymoney Borough Council has agreed to commence the play area project at Drumaheglis Marina and Caravan Park.
During a recent Leisure Services report, the Director of Borough Services advised that ‘minded to’ letters had issued to tenderers. He also informed the meeting that nothing had been received as yet from RDP regarding the funding application submitted but that he hoped to be in a position at the Council’s February meeting to provide a further update so that Council might determine how it wished to proceed.
Speaking at last Monday’s meeting, the Director, Mr John Michael explained: “It is believe we are not in the first three schemes being considered by the RDP, therefore we should not delay. I make the recommendation that Council commence with the project. We have already accepted the tender.”
