President Daisy Mawhinney welcomed Heather McSparron, Linda Smyth and Jeanette McKeegan, who were suitably attired in Santa outfits, to our December meeting.
Then followed a demonstration of line dancing after which members were invited to take part. This proved most enjoyable but exhausting! A delicious supper provided and served by the committee was most welcome. Results for the competition, judged by our guests, for the best dressed Christmas parcel, were: 1, Daisy Mawhinney; 2, Hilary McClean, 3, Lorraine Tease. The parcels are to be distributed among the patients in the Waterside Hospital.
After singing some Carols and the Countrywomen’s song, President Daisy Mawhinney wished everyone a Happy Christmas and good health and happiness in 2012.
