Drumbeg ladies visit garden centre

President Olive Palmer welcomed everyone and congratulated those members who had done so well in the Lagan Area Group Meeting competitions.

Rosemary Reid won the Sirdar Knitting Shield, Agnes Donald was second and Eva Orr third, Babara Huss won the Jean Neill Friendship Cup for her mobile phone cover and was third in the Irene Walker cup with her boiled cake.

Olive also thanked the members who had taken part in the Women Walk the World event organised by Drumbeg to raise funds for ACCW. The evening continued with a short talk by one of the owners of the garden centre who gave topical tips for the garden. This was followed by a tasty meal and some retail therapy before everyone went home after a most enjoyable evening
