Drumbo firm takes top honours at Silicon Valley Awards

A DRUMBO firm that develops innovative solutions that monitor and analyse traffic on the web, has won a prestigious Irish Technology Leadership Group/Irish Times Technology Award, winning in the Mobile/Social Media/Web category.

RepKnight was honoured at the awards which recognise the most innovative technology companies on the island of Ireland, and were presented during the Irish Technology Leadership Group (ITLG) Innovation Summit, which was attended by over 800 top executives, entrepreneurs and venture capital investors operating in Silicon Valley.

ITLG shortlisted 20 companies from across the island of Ireland in five technology categories following an extensive review of approximately 100 companies at a series of pitch sessions held at the University of Ulster, Belfast and Dublin City University in October and November 2011. Awards categories included Biotech/Cleantech, Entertainment and Gaming, Hardware/Semiconductor, Mobile/Social Media/Web and Software and Services/Cloud.

Delegates from Invest NI, the University of Ulster, Queen’s University, Belfast and the ITLG Silicon Valley 50, comprising the most influential Irish and Irish Americans in the worlds of technology and media, also attended the ITLG Innovation Summit. The two-day summit featured keynote presentations, panel debates and company showcases providing an inside look at cutting-edge technology, business and political trends.
