The scheme will involve the provision of stone kerbs, stone paving, semi-mature tree planting and the supply and installation of street furniture, signage, street lighting and feature lighting.

Additionally, Broadway is to be developped as a flexible events space. Council will own and manage the open space area at Broadway when the transfer of ownership from DRD Road Service/Transport NI is completed.

It is anticipated that the grant funding from DSD will be available in the 2015/2016 year as well as a £200,000 contribution by Council.

Mid and East Antrim Borough Council will be wholly responsible for the remaining £854,000 required, the majority of which will be required in 2016/2017.
