Dunclug students do the business

YEAR Nine pupils at Dunclug College demonstrated that they mean business by taking part in the Young Enterprise NI Programme - YE-Nine.

Supported by the Department of Education, the programme introduces pupils to the concept of enterprise.

During the session, Jill Nesbitt of Young Enterprise passed on some of her entrepreneurial wisdom, teaching students about the importance of innovation, creativity and teamwork.

The programme also included activities designed to teach pupils about the meaning of enterprise and students participated in a business challenge which saw them compile a business plan before actually making products.

Young Enterprise is Northern Ireland’s foremost business and enterprise education charity and all its programmes are based on the principle of ‘learning by doing’ to promote a culture of enterprise at an early age.

All activities are delivered by fully-trained business volunteers from partnership organisations and funded by a variety of public and private sector organisations.
