Dungannon haulage company fined for tachograph offences
A Dungannon based haulage company has been fined a total of £1,100 by Dungannon Magistrates following an investigation by the Driver & Vehicle Agency into drivers' hours.
SOE Haulage Ltd on Rehagy Road, Dungannon was accused of failing to carry out regular checks to make sure lorry drivers were not going over their time behind the wheel as per EU law.
It was fined £200 for that offence plus £700 for four counts of employing a driver who failed to take a statutory daily rest and £200 for two counts of employing a driver who exceeded the maximum statutory daily driving limit.
The company was also ordered to pay an offender levy of £15 by the judge. Dungannon haulage company fined for tachograph offences
