Dungannon man in court charged with five assaults on police officers

Ryan Maben, 31, from Dunavon Heights, is alleged to have assaulted four male and one female constables during an incident in Market Square in the town on March 24.

He is also charged with resisting arrest during the same incident and with disorderly behaviour.

A constable from the PSNI told the court that she believed she could connect the defendant to the charges.

District Judge John Meehan adjourned the case until April 27.

Mr Noel Dillon appeared on the defendant’s behalf.
