Dungannon man pleads guilty to fifth conviction for drug possession

The case of John Bell, 34, from Creevelough Road, was heard at Dungannon Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.

He was charged with possessing a Class B controlled drug on December 9 last year.

His defence solicitor said the case was complicated by the fact that this was Bell’s fifth such conviction, the last one carrying a suspended sentence.

The case was adjourned by District Judge John Meehan for one week, with Bell, who was absent from the court hearing due to a medical appointment, ordered to appear or else a bench warrant would be issued for his arrest.
