“There has been a small increase in my percentage share of the vote and I am very grateful to all those who supported me and the principles of a shared future, for which Alliance has fought hard over the last forty years.

“The best news of the election for Alliance was the success of Naomi Long in East Belfast. Naomi has shown that hard work can be rewarded through the ballot box and I wish her every success at Westminster,” said Ms Dunlop.
