Dunloy’s Fr Brankin on the move to new parish in Belfast

Dunloy’s parish priest Fr Aidan Brankin is on the move to a new parish in Belfast.

The move is just one of a number of new appointments announced this week by Bishop of Down and Connor Noel Treanor.

Fr Brankin will become parish priest of St. Oliver Plunkett Parish in Belfast.

In another change Fr Liam Blayney SPS is to become administrator of the parishes of Dunloy and Cloughmills.

Also Fr Liam Toland, Assistant Priest in Ballymena is to become parish priest of St John’s Parish in Belfast.

Fr Ciaran Dallat, parish priest in Sacred Heart Parish in Belfast is to be Assistant Priest in St Peter’s Parish and Cathedral in Belfast.

In a statment Bishop Treanor said: “Together with Bishops Farquhar and McKeown I should like to record my thanks once again to our priest colleagues affected by these appointments.

“We wish them God’s blessing, good health amd fulfilment in their new appointments.”

The new clerical appointments took effect from last Thursday (August 22nd).
