Dunminning roadworks

A £270,000 resurfacing scheme for the B93 Dunminning Road has been announced.

The scheme will provide 2.7 kilometres of new road surface from the B64 Station Road, Glarryford to the C58 Duneoin Road, Cullybackey.

Transport Minister Danny Kennedy said: “This scheme will improve the condition of this road which will serve as an alternative route during the construction of the A26 Frosses Road Dualling project.”

TransportNI officials and contractors programme these works operations and traffic management arrangements in order to minimise inconvenience to the public. However motorists should be aware that some delays may be expected and that additional time should be allowed when planning any journeys.

To protect the safety of the travelling public and contractors during the scheme it will be necessary to provide traffic control and road closures. The surfacing will commence on Monday 15 December 2014 and will take approximately two weeks to complete.

Traffic information notices will be provided in advance of and during these works with adjacent diversionary routes sign posted for road users.

The above planned schemes are subject to favourable weather conditions and road users can keep up to date using the Roadworks Report on http://trafficwatchni.com/home
