DUP welcome Seagate investment
The DUP MLA for Foyle, Alderman Maurice Devenney has welcomed today’s jobs announcement and significant investment by Seagate Technology in
Londonderry.
The Foyle MLA said: “Today’s job and investment announcement by Seagate Technology is very welcome. This significant investment of over £30 million for a major research and development project by Seagate further proves that they have confidence in Londonderry as a destination for innovation and future technologies.
“With recent figures showing that Foyle has the highest unemployment rate in the UK, these additional 35 skilled jobs will provide a welcome boost to the North West and will hopefully have a catalytic impact in the region.”
