Durkan hails 1GB connection

FOYLE MP Mark Durkan has welcomed the first 1-gig broadband internet connection in Londonderry - available to businesses at the North West Business Complex - hailing it as the first budding fruit from Project Kelvin.

Mr Durkan, who attended the official launch of the service on Monday said: "Securing this 1Gb fibre optic link at Skeoge marks a great achievement for the North West Business Complex and a great opportunity for local businesses.

"This represents a further pay-off from the investment in the business complex and first budding fruit from the delivery of Project Kelvin.

"The enterprise and ingenuity of North West Electronics is to be commended and the support given by INI, North West Marketing and others welcomed.

"Local – and not so local – businesses who do not already know should check out what this new link can offer them to enhance what they already offer their customers and their potential markets."
