Dylan's efforts are '˜inspiring'

Tyrone butcher Dylan Gillespie has won a silver medal in the WorldSkills Competition in Birmingham.

Ulster Unionist MLA Rosemary Barton has congratulated the lcoal butcher: “Dylan’s recent success at this UK wide level really comes as a boost for the Clogher Valley.

“He was able to secure a silver medal for butchery in the WorldSkills competition, demonstrating the skills he has picked up over the years through working for Clogher Valley Meats.

“His talent is inspiring for other young people in Fermanagh and South Tyrone and I hope to see more young people flourish in the future. My warmest congratulations to Dylan for all the hard work put in, that has now paid off.”

Dylan (20), who comes from a farming family, said he enjoyed watching butchers at work and decided to pursue a career in the industry.
