Kilrea based company, Hutchinson Engineering Ltd, has been named Most Dynamic Sub-Contractor in the UK at the 2013 Manufacturing Industry Awards which celebrates extraordinary companies that go above-and-beyond to deliver outstanding service and help businesses succeed, and the Operations Director, Richard Hutchinson, is in winning form.

We were the only company in Ireland to have made the list of finalists so we were already feeling like winners. However, to take home the main prize and be named the Most Dynamic Sub-Contractor is a genuine thrill for us and wed like to thank our work-force for their considerable role in making it happen., said Richard.

Operations Director, Richard Hutchinson, told The Coleraine Times: “We were the only company in Ireland to have made the list of finalists so we were already feeling like winners.

The annual Manufacturing Industry Awards are one of the most respected awards bodies for the engineering based manufacturing sector helping to highlight key successes and celebrate the achievements and innovation of the engineering community in Britain.

Richard continued: “We are a family-run business with 60 employees and we operate from a 25,000 square foot factory in Kilrea – a gateway to the rest of the UK. We provide our laser cutting, folding, fabrication, fitting and design services to a wide range of sectors including coach building, quarrying and medical.

“Our focus on using the latest technologies in our production processes and the best training available for our staff has helped us to continually succeed in what is a very specialised and competitive industry.”
