Easter coffeemorning for Positive Futures charity

POSITIVE Futures, the local learning disability charity, is holding a fundraising Easter Coffee Morning.

The event takes place in Trinity Methodist Church Hall, Knockmore Road from 10.30am to 1.30pm on Friday April 6, with proceeds going to the charity’s Windermere Supported Living Service.

Deputy Service Manager, Susan McBride, says that there will be something for all ages: “There’s so much going on, it’s hard to know where to start. The £2.50 entry fee includes coffee, tea, scones or traybakes and face painting for kids; we have a raffle with prizes from local businesses, an Easter Surprise bran tub, flower arrangements, knit wear, book stall, children’s entertainment; an Easter Wish Tree and an art gallery.

“We’ve always been grateful for the fabulous support which we’ve had from the people of Lisburn and we look forward to seeing a great crowd on Good Friday.”

Positive Futures’ Windermere Service supports people who had previously lived in Muckamore Abbey Hospital. With Positive Futures’ support, they now live in the community and make a contribution to the community life in Lisburn.
