Easter fun at Belfast Zoo

BELFAST Zoo has been very busy over the past few weeks with new arrivals, renovations to enclosures, and preparations for a fun Easter with the animals!

A wide range of animal feeding times, face painting and ‘crme egg’ egg rolls are being planned for everyone to enjoy over the holidays from April 2 to April 6.

Belfast Zoo has welcomed four adorable ‘Easter bunnies’ of its own - Snowy, Splodge, Smarty, and Samantha will be living in the zoo farm at Easter, and are sure to be popular with visitors young and old.

The zoo farm houses Shetland ponies, miniature donkeys, pygmy goats, pigs, chickens, hedgehogs and other adorable animals.

Zoo manager Mark Challis is looking forward to a great atmosphere at the zoo over the break.

“Easter at the zoo is always nice and busy and it creates a lovely atmosphere. We have had lots of fascinating new arrivals including Visayan warty-pig, more gentoo penguins, lots of new birds, and our lovely pygmy goats.”

Egg-rolling will take place at the lake at 11.30am and 2pm from April 2 to 6, with the zoo’s own animal characters. For more information visit www.belfastzoo.co.uk or email [email protected].
