Ecos body identified as Paul Houston

The body found in a wooded area near the ecos Centre on Monday (October 27) has been identified as that of Broughshane man Paul Houston.

Police had launched a missing person investigation after the family of the 37-year-old father-of-four had become concerned for his safety on October 20.

Detective Chief Inspector (DCI) Catherine Magee said: “This is a distressing and painful time for the family and friends of Paul Houston. I offer my condolences to them. I would also like to thank the wider community who supported the missing person investigation throughout the past week”.

DCI Magee concluded: “The death of Mr Houston is not thought to be suspicious.”

Mr Houston will be interred in Broughshane New Cemetery on Thursday afternoon (October 30), following his funeral service in St. Patrick’s Church, Broughshane.
