Editorial Clinics raise the issues that matter to you

THE Leader editorial clinics are going from strength to strength, and this week the team was pleased to welcome Upper Bann MP David Simpson to chat with locals on the issues that matter to them.

A range of topics were discussed, and Leader reporters were on hand to publicise whatever topics were raised - from healthcare to education and more.

Mr Simpson took questions from those who dropped in as well as a number of queries from people who had emailed the Leader and contacted us via Facebook ahead of the meeting.

Speaking before the meeting last Thursday Mr Simpson said, “I was delighted to be approached by the Banbridge Leader to participate in this event.

“I am more than happy to be the guinea pig in what is an excellent initiative on the Leader’s part.”

Following the meeting Mr Simpson vowed to take the issues raised to the relevant bodies to help address them as best he can.

Leader editor John Hooks said the meeting raised some very valid points.

“It was great to see people engaging with us and really bringing up the topics that matter to them,” he said.

“We have been able to report on some of these issues this week and will hopefully help to further publicise the issues that matter to those who have brought them to us.

“I’d like to thank David for taking the time out of his busy schedule to attend our clinic.”

This morning the Leader welcomes UUP MLA Jo-Anne Dobson between 10am and 12 noon in French Presse. Drop by with any questions you may have - and if you are not available during those hours simply email [email protected] or contact us on Facebook or Twitter.
