Eduardo Niebla in concert

Hailed as one of the world’s great guitarists, Eduardo Niebla returns to Ballymoney Town Hall on Thursday 22 March with his internationally acclaimed guitar duo, to present an amazing repertoire of “stunning flamenco jazz” (The Sound) from his latest albums.

It’s been a long time since the brilliant jazz virtuoso arrived on the UK music scene in the 70s to explore new musical roads, and he returns to Ireland on a nationwide tour to present his wonderfully passionate and exquisite musical fusion; a sophisticated mix of flamenco and Latin jazz intertwined with classical traditions, Eastern colours and a gypsy edge.

It is music which has been influenced by Eduardo’s many collaborations over the years, including Mother Gong, Lol Coxhill, George Michael, Craig David, the Dante String Quartet, Indian maestro Nishat Khan, Rajasthani gypsies in Jaipur and the Nawazen Ensemble in Jordan. It is his journey to create music profoundly connecting us all that Eduardo still continues to pursue and it is the very lyrical and poignantly poetic quality of his playing, as well and his phenomenal guitar technique, which makes each experience incredibly moving and invigorating.

“Poignantly poetic… and truly breathtaking”. Scotsman
