Education minister approves increased enrolment at Holy Trinity College, Cookstown

It was proposed by the Council for Catholic Maintained Schools (CCMS) to increase the school’s approved enrolment to 1,300 pupils by 2025, including a phased increase in admissions over a three year period commencing September 2016.

Commenting on the decision, Mr O’Dowd said: “In January 2013 I announced that a major capital project for Holy Trinity College could be advanced in planning. This development proposal is linked to that process.

“On the basis of the evidence presented I am now able to confirm that the new school will cater for up to 1,300 pupils.

“Looking further ahead, this increase will help to meet the demand for places in the Mid-Ulster area in the longer term.”
