Edwin May Nissan Five Mile Classic - are you ready?

Participants are encouraged to register as soon as possible.

Those taking part can sprint, run or jog the five mile course in one of twenty individual categories.

The categories include; an open male and female race, a veterans section for males over 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65 or the veterans sections for females over 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65. There will also be a junior male and female category open for all aged 15 years and over and a male and female wheelchair category.

Brian Tohill, event organiser, Coleraine Leisure Centre commented, “The 2014’ Edwin May Nissan 5 Mile Classic’ was a tremendous success. Now in its second year I expect this year’s event will attract a lot more entries.

“Many of those who competed in last year’s race commented on how much they enjoyed it, therefore I am looking forward to seeing their return this year.

“The team at Coleraine Leisure Centre have worked in partnership with Springwell Running Club to bring the event back to Coleraine this year. I’d like to thank everyone involved for their hard work and of course the race sponsor Edwin May Nissan, who has made its return possible.

“I would encourage anyone interested in taking part to contact Coleraine Leisure Centre as soon as possible to secure your place. The first two hundred runners to register their place will receive a FREE technical t-shirt, don’t miss out!”
