Egg-citing events in Craigavon this Easter time

THERE'S an exciting programme of jam-packed events and activities to suit all ages and abilities this Easter in Craigavon.

From eggstravagant Easter trails and craft workshops to show jumping and boat trips along the magnificent Lough shore there’s something for all the family.

From March 29- April 10 Cascades Leisure Centre, Portadown and Waves Leisure Centre, Lurgan are offering a special family of four swim ticket offer - 8.00, Monday – Friday 10am-12noon & 4pm-8pm, Saturday 10am-4pm (Children under 16)

Children’s swim and meal offer: (Children under 16) priced at 4. Meal includes a choice of chicken nuggets or sausage or fish fingers with chip and drink.

From Good Friday (April 2) to Easter Tuesday (April 6) boat trips will be available on Lough Neagh.

Bask in the mesmerising views of the Lough Neagh shoreline this Easter with boat trips from Kinnego Marina. Weather permitting of course.

Trips begin at 1.30pm go on to 5.30pm, with trips every 30 minutes. The cost for adults is 5, with a concessionary rate of 3. Telephone 3832 7573 for further information.

On Saturday, April 3 there will be Traditional Easter Fun Workshops at Lough Neagh Discovery Centre. Families can learn to make a selection of creative arts and crafts to celebrate the Easter season.

Please telephone 3832 2205 to book either of the following sessions: session one, 10.30am to 12.30pm or session two, 2pm to 4pm. The workshop costs 3 per child and parental supervision is required for children aged eight and under. Please note, booking is essential.

Also on Saturday there will be an Easter Trail at Oxford Island National Nature Reserve for all the famil.y

Join the Conservation Team for an enchanting Easter themed trail around the reserve with an Easter treat upon completion and entry into a prize draw.

Saturday also sees at Easter Art Festival Day at Millennium Court Arts Centre in Portadown (call 3839 4415 for further information) and a free show jumping competition at Meadows Equestrian Centre in Lurgan at 10am (telephone 3832 6182 for more details).

On Easter Monday (April 5) there will be a Petting Parlour at Tannaghmore Animal Farm which allows visitors to get to know some of the beautiful animals on the farm.

The farm has a wide range of animals including baby chicks, rabbits, guinea pigs, lambs and goats to name but a few. The petting parlour is open from 10am to 4pm and is free of charge.

Treasure Trails NI have organised a family fun event in Lurgan for just a fiver on Easter Monday - a Treasure Hunt around the town.

The trail is a great way to enjoy some good old fashioned family fun and bring alive the stories and fascinating history of the streets and paths. Booking is essential. Tel 38336266 or 07980859028 for further information.

On Saturday, April 6 Tiny Life will be holding an Easter Bunny Trail and Egg Hunt in Lurgan Park

Join the Easter Bunny on a two-mile walk around the Park Lake in search of some tasty Easter Eggs in aid of Tiny Life.
