Eglinton and district Darts League round-up

EGLINTON and district Darts League saw two one-hundred-and-eighty scores this week. Michael McCloskey from the Rising Sun top flight and Colin Maxwell from McKeevers threw the magic darts.

The week’s least darts in the league sponsored by Avis Rent-A-Car at City of Derry Airport came from Colin Maxwell. The McKeevers man managed to finish up a leg with just fifteen darts. Paul Brown from the Rising Sun top flight managed it in seventeen and Christy Fisher from McKeevers did it in nineteen.

The highest checkout of the week was an impressive 120 from Padraig O’Reilly of Gort Na Drum.

The results of the week were: Rising Sun beat Donaghys B 8-5, Longfield B were beaten 3-11 by Longfield A, McKeevers beat the Riverside Bar A 11-5, Rising Sun top flight beat Gort Na Drum 12-3, Riverside Bar B and Eglinton Cricket club had no scoresheet returned and the Sportsman Inn and Donaghys A was postponed due to treacherous road conditions.

The Rising Sun won Saturday nights’ bonus ball with no. 25.

This Thursday night’s fixtures are as follows: Donaghys A vs Longfield B; Eglinton CC vs Eglinton Cricket Club; Gort Na Drum vs Riverside Bar B; Longfield A vs Donaghys B; Rising Sun vs McKeevers; Riverside Bar A vs Sportsman Inn.

The next monthly darts meeting is Monday 25th January at 8:30pm sharp in McKeevers Bar, Claudy and all bars must have have at least one representative in attendance. Lottery Bonus ball money and all other monies due must be paid at this meeting.
