Eglinton bomb attack: 57-year-old released

A 57 year old man arrested in Lurgan by detectives from Serious Crime Branch who were investigating the under vehicle improvised explosive device in Eglinton on Thursday, June 18, has been released unconditionally.

The arrest had been part of the investigation into the thwarted attack at Glenrandel, Eglinton, where a bomb was left under the car of a police officer.

Three men who were arrested near Ballybofey in the wake of the incident have also been released as has a 27-year-old who was arrested by the PSNI in the Eglinton area after the attempted attack.
