Elderly couple attacked in their home
A couple in their 70s were attacked and beaten by a gang of masked men who stole two guns from their home in Lisburn.
Police said four men in balaclavas got into the house at Saintfield Road at about 8pm on Friday.
They attacked and beat the man, then locked him in a toilet. The gang threatened the woman with a knife and tied her up.
Two legally held firearms and a sum of money were taken.
Police said the man suffered cuts and bruises and the couple were both very shocked at what had happened.
They have appealed for information on the attack.
