Elderly man assaulted close to pub in Galbally

Detectives in Mid Ulster are appealing for witnesses and information following an alleged assault close to a licensed premises in the Galbally area of Dungannon.

Detective Inspector Tate said: “In the early hours of Sunday 24th October, a male in his 60’s was assaulted. He remains in hospital as a result of his injuries.

“We are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the assault or to anyone who has any information to contact detectives at Mid Ulster Reactive and Organised Crime on the non-emergency number 101m, quoting reference 101 23/10/16.

“Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
