Elderly man assaulted in Rathcoole
Two people were arrested following an assault on a man aged in his 70s in Rathcoole on Wednesday.
The attack happened in the Green End area of the estate when the victim was found to have received facial injuries.
A 58-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of common assault, making threats to kill, criminal damage and assault on police. He was later released on police bail to return at a later date.
A 53-year-old woman was also arrested for obstruction and later released pending a report to the Public Prosecution Service.
