Elderly woman threatened by youths armed with gun

A WOMAN in her 70's was threatened by two youths, one armed with a handgun, who forced their way into her Warren Park Avenue home, on Monday night (May 3).

At around 8.30pm the woman answered her front door to two youths who then forced their way into the house.

One of the males held the victim on the sofa in the front room, while the other searched the house.

The male who held the woman in the living room is believed to have been armed with a handgun.

Both males then made off empty handed.

The first male is described as being around 16 and was wearing a grey hoody and dark trousers. The second is also believed to have been about 16 years old and was wearing a navy hoody and dark coloured trousers.

Both had obscured their faces with scarves.

The victim was left very traumatised by the ordeal.
