Election success for DUP’s new faces

TWO young members of Craigavon DUP branch have been appointed as officers of Queen’s University Democratic Unionist Association. John Graham from Portadown and Jonathan Murphy from Bleary have been appointed as Vice Chairman and Press Officer respectively.

Congratulating them on their appointment Upper Bann MP David Simpson said: “The DUP in Upper Bann has seen significant growth in recent months and in particular we have been delighted to receive a considerable number of young people into membership.

“This is healthy for a political party as it helps to ensure that a balance of youth and experience is maintained at all levels including among election candidates. It is also vitally important if a political party is to continue to remain relevant and is to continue to have roots and a network in the community.
