Ellie joins Santa for breakfast

Ellie Browne (10) from Ballykelly was among 20 local children who enjoyed breakfast with Santa recently.

Her mum Kylia commented: “Ellie had a great time, an experience she won’t forget!”

Foyleside Shopping Centre, had given 20 local children the chance to win the prize.

Jack McGee (5) from Culmore was a winner and attended the breakfast with his little brother Eoin.

His aunt, Paula Doherty said: “Thank you so much for organising the breakfast morning. The boys had a fantastic time and they were smiling and chatting about it for the rest of the day! It will be a great memory for them to keep!”

Carol Stewart’s daughter Méabh (5) from Strabane was also a winner. She said: “We had a lovely morning – it was a magical experience for Méabh!”

Santa and Mrs Claus joined the children for breakfast while the elves entertained with juggling, festive stories and Christmas songs.

Santa spent time with each child chatting about their Christmas wishes, drawing caricatures as keepsakes and presenting each with a personally selected gift.

Fergal Rafferty, Centre Manager at Foyleside said: “This is the second year we’ve run the Breakfast with Santa competition and it’s been a huge hit with our winners.

“It’s so rewarding at this time of year to see the children’s eyes light up as they spend time on a one-to-one with Santa – it’s a very special moment for them.”
