Emma is the first winner to come from the Ballycastle Club.

Emma was initially interviewed by members of Ballycastle Rotary Club and chosen to progress to the next round.

She made it through to the next stage and again she was successful in this round of the competition and was on her way to the final in Ballymena.

The competition was tougher this time for the A level student as she was competing against other finalists from all over Northern Ireland. Once more Emma’s personality and leadership qualities shone through and she was announced as a winner.

Emma, who is studying History, Politics and Social Care, will now take part in a week long Leadership Development Programme, in February 2014 consisting of three days in Belfast and Dublin before setting off to the European Parliament in Strasbourg where she will debate major EU issues in the European Parliament Building with other students from around the European Union.
