Employees receive training certificates

Action 4 Employment (A4E) which has offices in Limavady, Newry and Belfast provides employers with opportunities to 'up skill' their staff and provides essential skills qualifications where required.

TerrI Larkin from The O2 store Limavady has successfully achieved NVQ L2 Retail Certificates, EDI Level 3 Retail Operations and City and Guilds and Level 1 Communication and Application of Number. This free training delivered by A4E through the Apprenticeship NI programme is available to anyone working over 21 hours a week.

Training has already taken place in various workplaces throughout Northern Ireland and employers are delighted with the results which includes improved staff morale, increased motivation and productivity in the workplace:

Kevin Flemming 02's store manager praised Terri's development through the course.

He said: "The certificate in retail operations which Terri Larkin has completed has integrated very well into O2's staff training programme, which focuses on customer service excellence. The certificate is proving to be a valuable addition, not only to participating employees but also to the business as a whole. It has motivated staff and given them a sense of self-believe; they have gained a better understanding of how they can play an integral part of the business,"
