Empty shops could be used for conflict exhibition - proposal at Ballymoney Council

EMPTY shops in Ballymoney could be used to host an exhibition on the Northern Ireland Troubles.

The idea was put forward at a recent meeting of Ballymoney Borough Council.

Minutes circulated following the meeting read:

“Committee noted expression of interest by Ballymoney Regeneration Company in hosting a new multiple perspective exhibition on the conflict in Northern Ireland to be hosted in empty shops. “The exhibition would display everyday objects transformed by the conflict.”

At the same meeting, councillors paid tribute to the work of council staff and local traders in the marketing and events programme for Christmas.
