Endeavours enjoy annual fun day

EAST Antrim Junior Christian Endeavourers have held another successful annual fun day, which was enjoyed by children from across the union.

Once again, the event was held in First Carrickfergus Presbyterian Church hall and was organized by Lynda Anderson, one of East Antrim’s junior work convenors. The games were organised by Children’s Ministry co-ordinator, Robert Penney.

Children and leaders were privileged to have two Presidents sharing the afternoon with them for the event. The All Ireland CE President, Gillian Ferguson conducted the short opening devotions, speaking about her theme, An Amazing Love, An Amazing Lord.

June Jones, East Antrim Union President rounded off the proceedings as she spoke of her theme, Looking to Jesus.

The Juniors were divided into eight all-age teams drawn from all the participating societies. Following much fun and fierce competition, The Randoms clocked up 169 points and were declared the winners. The Champions, with 163 points, were runners up.

After everyone had enjoyed well earned refreshments during the interval, it was time for parachute games, drama and for Ballynure Presbyterian Juniors to teach all their new friends a new song, Nothing is too big, big for His power.
