Supported in its venture by Business in the Community, the AES Energy Efficiency Programme will start in August offering companies with between 10-50 employees a free energy audit.

Patricia McCambridge from ARENA Network, the environmental arm of Business in the Community explains: “This project will provide practical, hands-on support for 12 small companies in the Carrick and Larne areas. Ultimately we want to show all organisations how they can make cost-savings and show how even small efficiencies can make a real difference. Having AES’ support to deliver this programme is essential to its success and we are delighted that it is demonstrating responsible leadership.”

Davy Elliot from AES said: “AES is delighted to be working in partnership with Business in the Community to promote the efficient use of energy. Wherever AES is located or runs a business – whether it is power generation, a utility or a renewable energy project – we seek to create meaningful relationships with the communities we serve. We recognise that we don’t just provide a critically important service; we also need to invest in the people and the infrastructure of those communities.”
