England, for the record, even won a penalty shoot out against the USA at the quarter final stage with Martin Power doing a far better job than Robert Green in Goals. In the semi-final Jimmy Larkham came on to spark some life into the England team with some great touches, unfortunately his finishing was in the same league as Wayne Rooney's at the world cup.

Powered on by the efforts of Sean Mc Geown along with the O'Neill brothers England proved to be too strong for the rest of the opposition. England beat Cameroon in the final 1-0 with the only goal being scored by the impressive Mickey Lappin, a goal which Geoff Hurst would have been proud of.

Both Pat and Kieran thank all the teams for taking part, the Goodyear Sports and Social Club and congratulate England on their first success since 1966.
