‘Enhanced service’ from Carrick CAB

With the coming council boundary changes, Carrick CAB has acted with Ballymena and Larne CAB to ensure an enhanced advice service.

Mary, manager of Carrickfergus CAB, commented: “To ensure the continuation and growth of the CAB service we have introduced both an assessment and an appointment system in the North Street bureau.

“We encourage everyone to call at bureau where they can speak with an advisor and be offered an appointment if necessary.

“A tribunal representative is available weekly to assist those who wish to appeal SSA decisions with additional training being undertaken to extend this service across all of the new council area.”

Mary continued: “Carrick CAB is looking forward, anticipating and putting in place the necessary resources to ensure whatever changes take place across the council boundaries the service will remain local and available for all our community.”

Carrickfergus CAB works in partnership with the Elim Storehouse and Jordan Victory Church to arrange food hampers for those who may require them.
