Libraries NI has organised twelve family fun days across Northern Ireland, including this one in Lisburn City Library.

There will be the opportunity for families to enjoy trying on props for a quirky photo shoot, while for children there will be Rhythm and Rhyme (for pre-school children), Storytime (for ages 4 – 8) and an eBook Creator workshop (or ages 9 – 15).

Want to find out more about your family history? Adults can enjoy drop-in ‘Family History on the Web’ drop-in sessions.

Take part in a ‘Healthy Food for Super Kids’ fun workshop for all the family. Jane McClenaghan from Vital Nutrition will take the workshop which is being organised by Libraries NI’s Health in Mind team.

Find out more about Health In Mind, which is a partnership project funded under the Big Lottery Fund’s Live and Learn programme and offers a wide range of positive mental health and wellbeing resources and services in libraries and other community venues.

If you fancy a few notes, take part in our ‘Lift the Lid’ open Piano session for emerging and seasoned musicians on the library’s Baby Grand piano. Drop in to entertain us or simply to listen.

Take the chance to sign up to the free eBooks and eMagazines service, allowing you to choose from over 50,000 items and 15,000 eBook titles and 200 different titles of eMagazines. You can also browse a beautiful exhibition of Quilling by Magdalena Rutkowska.

Booking is advisable for the workshops.
