Enjoy local European Heritage Open Days

Communities Minister Paul Givan MLA has invited the Coleraine public to enjoy European Heritage Open Days (EHOD) on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 September.

History and culture will be brought to life with over 300 property openings and events.

A host of historic buildings will open their doors to the public, many for 10 and 11 September only. Locations in the Coleraine area opening for the weekend include Downhill Demense and Hezlett House in Castlerock. Visit the stunning landscape of Downhill Demense with its beautiful gardens and magnificent walks. Discover the striking 18th century mansion of the eccentric Earl Bishop of Derry that lies in ruins, then explore Mussenden Temple perched on the cliff edge. Learn about the reality of rural 17th century life in one of Northern Irelands oldest buildings, Hezlett House. Guided tours will operate at Hezlett House on Saturday 10 September.
