Enjoy this Halloween in spooktacular Lurgan

CRAIGAVON Borough Council has a host of spooky events taking place throughout the Borough for all parents hoping to keep their little witches, wizards, ghost and ghouls out of hubble bubble, toil and trouble during the Halloween holidays.

The fun begins on Tuesday, October 26, in Lurgan Park with an evening of creepy crafts from 5pm-6.30pm and 7pm-8.30pm.

Bring your little monsters along and create spooktacular crafts to scare and thrill all their friends and family as well as carving pumpkins for Halloween. There will also be spot prizes for scariest fancy dress and best pumpkin.

The cost for this event is 3.50 per child, 6 for two children in the same family and all materials will be provided. To book your place call 3832 3795.

On Friday, October 29, come along to the spooky setting of Moneypenny’s Lockhouse for the annual ‘Lanterns at the Lockhouse Event’. Beginning at 6.45pm, there will be lots of traditional Halloween fun including story telling, crafts and a fancy dress competition amongst the spooky activities.

Bring along your own carved lantern as there will be prizes for the best! This is a fun evening for adults as well as children over seven years old. Cost is 3 per person and booking is essential as places are limited. Call Craigavon Museum Services on 028 3834 1635 to find out more.

Finally, on Saturday, October 30, Lough Neagh Discovery Centre is hosting a Halloween arts and crafts workshop from 10.30am–12.30pm and 2pm-4pm.

Little ghosts and ghouls can create their own monster masks and peculiar props for Halloween. Come along in fancy dress and enjoy some traditional Halloween activities such as creating shrunken skulls and spooky spiders.

Cost is 3 per child or 5 for two children and booking is essential as places are limited. Children should be over six years old and parental supervision is required. Contact Lough Neagh Discovery Centre on 028 3832 2205 to book your place.
