Enterprising Friends pupil receives award

AN enterprising pupil from Friends School, Lisburn, has received the Young Entrepreneur Award for the South East Area.
Friends School pupil Charlotte McCausland who has won the Young Enterprise Young Entrepeneur of the year award in the South Eastern area through the Company Programme for 2012/13. Included are Mr Gareth Davidson, business studies teacher, Suzanne Lutton, chair of the South Eastern Young Enterprise Board, and Miss Elizabeth Dickson, Friends School principal. Charlotte will now go forward to the Northern Ireland finals. Charlotte McCausland competed against five other finalists on April 25 and the Northern Ireland Winner will be announced at the NI Final in City Hall, Belfast on May 9.

Charlotte has had a very influential role in the development of the Broad Accents Company Programme this year.

Charlotte processes many key entrepreneurial skills and qualities as she is a very driven, confident and passionate pupil. Due to Charlotte’s good organisation skills she has achieved an excellent balance to allow time for academic studies, Young Enterprise and her part-time job.
