Organised by the Castle Community Association and Castle Youth Club locals took part in a wide range of events including wellie boot throwing, penalty kick, shoot the hoop, bonny baby, glamorous granny and yummy mummy competitions. Various inflatables were also a big attraction for the younger generation.

A spokesperson for the group said: “We were delighted with the really good turnout at the event and it was great to see the community coming together to take part in all of the events on offer.”

The spokesperson thanked Councillor McAfee for attending and helping out. He also thanked the funders including the Northern Ireland Housing Executive, Ballymoney Borough Council and Lloyds TSB. Thanks were also extended all the people who helped out in anyway on the day, anyone who attended on the day and the local businesses who kindly donated the raffle prizes.
