Appeal for patience as recycling centres experience post-Christmas rush

Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon Council is appealing for public support and patience as local recycling centres are experiencing higher than usual demand after the Christmas holiday.

A council spokesperson said the recycling centres are experiencing a higher number of visitors and longer queues over the busy festive period, the spokesperson encouraged the public to:

• Sort your waste before arriving on site.

• ✅Remember to keep your distance from other recycling centre users and staff.

• ✅Please continue to respect council staff (who are unable to assist with lifting at this time due to #COVID19 restrictions).

“Thank you for your continued support and patience as you may experience delays at your local recycling centre in the coming week(s),” the spokesperson concluded.
