“This was brought to my attention by a number of residents in both developments some time ago and I have consistently lobbied Road Service over the past year to complete the required works.

Residents of both Beech Meadows and Waring Hall Place have been subjected to unacceptable road and footway conditions for many years.

“I was delighted when the Private Streets section of Road Service and namely Keiran Conlon and his team undertook to complete the required checks on the sewers and, lighting and subsequently have been able to commence laying the final layer of Tarmac under Article 11 under the Private Streets legislation.”

“Whilst I am delighted that Road Service have taken the responsibility to complete this work I believe that more stringent legislation is required to govern developers. Our towns and villages have been blighted with unfinished developments and I believe a review of the required road bond which is paid to Road Service prior to the site commencing is increased.”

“I will be continuing to work with Road Service on several other unfinished developments throughout the Lurgan area.”
